A blonde woman appears to be in peril below as the creature looms overhead, setting up the central mystery of whether this is hero or villain. This 1st DC Issue marks an important milestone for the character's standalone series.
The back cover features a full-page advertisement for the Shrunken Head Apple Sculpture Kit by Whitling, a Milton Bradley Company toy that allows children to turn apples into tiny shrunken heads. The ad copy promises Halloween fun year-round and shows the creepy product packaging alongside an example of the finished craft.
