The Authority #12, NM WildStorm, 2004

Grant Morrison’s The Authority #12 (WildStorm) finds the team confronting a reality-warping, high-stakes threat that forces them to weigh the moral costs of using absolute power. Story and visuals are credited to Morrison with art by Turner and Regla, delivering cinematic, mature-reader storytelling. Notable for a striking cover featuring a mysterious levitating child at the center of the issue’s conflict.
